We’re extremely proud to see Hitman GO being nominated for end of year awards and in many ‘Best of 2014′ lists.
Apple, IGN, Gamespot, 148Apps, PocketTactics and many more have featured the game and we also picked up two awards at the Canadian Videogame Awards last month.
It’s been a fantastic year for us and we want to end it in style with more of you enjoying Hitman GO. Starting today (December 23rd) until the 28th of December, the game is on sale for just £0.99 / $0.99 / €0.99 on all available platforms – Apple App Store, Google Play and Amazon App Store.
Thanks for supporting us and we’ll be back in 2015 with Hitman: Sniper.

There has been a lot of progress with Hitman: Sniper over the last few months.
Back in October, we soft launched the game in Canada, keeping it close to home so we could better manage the process and keep our finger on the pulse. It was a good job we did, as tens of thousands of you downloaded and played the game within the first few hours of it being put on the App Store. In fact, the response was so overwhelming, we had to pull it after a few short days to keep the numbers manageable on our end.
We learned a heck of a lot from that experience, and we still are actively working on ironing out all the wrinkles. It’s important to us that we have something amazing to show you when we unleash it on the rest of the world. In fact, we have decided to release Hitman: Sniper a little later – early 2015 to be more specific. We are very happy to see that you are as excited as we are for the game to come out as soon as possible – however, we want it to be perfect and that requires us spending a little more time polishing everything.
Up until that point, we’ll be streaming directly from the studio via the Square Enix Montréal Twitch channel. We still need a catchy name for what to call the show (and no, The Bald and the Beautiful doesn’t work) but we’ll be streaming some of our favourite games, talking about our own games and taking some of your questions. We will, of course, start streaming Sniper nearer to world launch and talk to the team about it in more detail.
In the meantime, we’ll be happy to chat via Twitter or Facebook, so get in touch with us whenever you like. Obviously, you can expect a better answer if you ask about the game we’re making, but we’re happy to chat about anything else as well!
See y’all on the leaderboards or online!

Hitman HD Trilogy was released in early 2013 and includes Silent Assassin, Contracts and Blood Money. That’s more than 75 hits in 40 locations – and they’re all available to PS+ subscribers this month on PS3. You can download the game directly from your console or via the online store page. If you need more practical details about PS+, the PlayStation Blog has got you covered.
Talking of classic Hitman, we recently shared some previously unseen artwork from the development of Contracts and Blood Money, including character renders, location wireframes, hand-drawn storyboards and production concepts such as the one below from The Murder of Crows in Blood Money. Hitman GO won ‘Best Game Design’ and ‘Best iOS Game’ at the Canadian Videogame Awards last week!
Square Enix Montreal’s first release was also a finalist in 5 other categories; Best Animation, Best Game Innovation, Best Visual Arts, Game of the Year and Fans’ Choice Award.
The entire awards ceremony was livestreamed on Twitch to more than 1.5 million people – and it’s available on demand if you want to catch up. (It’s 1h 32m & 2h 8m for the two Hitman GO awards). There’s more news on the way from SEM later this week.
We’ll leave you with some highlights from the award ceremony:

Updated Post: We have a winner! Hitman Forum has voted Beldingford Manor as the winner of the contest and their favourite Hitman level!
At IOI, we’ve played our part in the celebrations and found artwork, concepts and development images for each of the final four levels to share – and some of it has never been seen outside of our studio before. Click on the image below for each level to see them. Enjoy!
We’re extremely happy to share this news with you! We’ve created some very special levels that will be sure to trigger nostalgic memories for long-time Hitman players; we’re bringing St. Petersburg from Hitman 2: Silent Assassin to Hitman GO via a new mission box – and it’s available today!
We’ve already released a mission box based on the Curtains Down mission (aka ‘The Opera’) from Hitman Blood Money and wanted to see what we could do with other classic locations that Hitman players would love. We settled on ‘St. Petersburg Stakeout’ and got to work. The result is 8 new levels set in the snowy landscape of Varosnij Square, bringing the total amount of levels in the game to 91!
You can get access to the new levels in two different ways; either complete a set number of mission objectives from previous boxes (140 in this case), meaning you’ll get immediate access if you’ve already done that or buy them outright for $0.99/€0.99/£0.69.
The new update will also include the option to activate cloud-saving functionality, which makes it possible to sync your completed levels between devices. We’re also pleased to say that this update is available on both the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android devices at the same time alongside a time-limited price drop on both platforms. From today through next Tuesday 28th October, you can download Hitman GO for $1.99/€1.79 /£1.49 or the equivalent in your country.
To sum that all up – we’ve released a new mission box today for iOS and Android that includes 8 new levels based on the St. Petersburg Stakeout mission from Hitman 2: Silent Assassin – plus cloud-saving functionality. To get access to the update, either complete 140 mission objectives or pay $0.99/€0.99/£0.69. If you don’t own the game, you can download it at a lower price any time in the next 7 days.
Aside from Hitman GO, we’re getting very close to the launch of Hitman: Sniper, a massively competitive sniping game that we’ve tailor-built for touch screen devices. We announced the game at E3 earlier this year and we’ve had a fantastic response from everyone that’s played it so far. Expect to hear much more about it before we launch and you can play it for yourself. That’s when the fun really begins.
Thanks for playing,
Square Enix Montréal
We’re very excited to share the news that Hitman: Sniper for iOS soft launched on the Canadian App Store at the start of this month! You may have read about it – or maybe you were lucky enough to get your hands on it while it was available! This is a huge milestone for the team, and a big step in our journey to deliver the game to the rest of the world in the coming months.
The response we had from our fans in Canada was fantastic and we’ve already had to take the game off the App Store to make sure we can use all the feedback and data we get without being overwhelmed. It’s great for us to hit those numbers so quickly and we’re already watching the competition heat up and the battle begin on the leaderboards. It’s extremely important for us to make sure we deliver a fantastic, competitive contract for both Hitman fans and newcomers, so were ironing out the wrinkles and focusing on the competitive aspect of Hitman: Sniper, which is a large portion of the fuel that drives the game.
We’re keeping a close eye on our players’ favorite load-outs, the most popular boosters and abilities, and tracking overall progression through the ranks to become the ultimate silent assassin. In the sandbox we’ve created, the avenues of approach are limitless, so how will you kill your first mark, Marcus Krug? Find out when we set our sights on the rest of the world this winter.
We’ll be in touch again soon,

PAX Prime in Seattle is just around the corner and Hitman: Sniper is going to be front and centre with daily tournaments, a huge party and a community event where one Hitman fan will get their name and face added to the game. Let us give you all the details.
Hitman: Sniper will be playable on the showfloor for all attendees at Square Enix Booth #3630 and we’ll be hosting tournaments every hour. At the end of each day, the player with the highest score from the hourly tournaments will have their high-score included in the final game at launch.
As well as the hourly tournaments, we’re also hosting a special Hitman: Sniper community event with Unity and Destructoid on Friday 29 August from 8-11pm. We’ll be looking for a Grand Prize winner who will be the envy of Hitman fans everywhere. We’re going to integrate their custom 3D model into the game as one of Agent 47’s targets. We’ll also be giving away a lot of other prizes along the way, so make sure to stop by the Hard Rock Cafe at 116 Pike Street in Seattle if you’re in the area.
